During 1991 a out of use Fowler #2 diesel
mechanical locomotive was purchased by a group of BBR members from Isis Central
Sugar Mill in Queensland.
It arrived on
the back of a flatbed truck on the 20th of January 1992. After fitting with
"Jones" couplers and Vacuum brake equipment this locomotive entered
regular service in July 1992.

It was named "Rosalie" after Whiteman
Park Ranger - Rosalie (Lee) Heaney who was tragically killed in a rockslide
whilst holidaying in the USA in May 1992. Lee had been a major force in many of
the special events operated in the park and was well known by all of the park
community.
