An often forgotten part of railway preservation
is the signalling equipment used to control the safe movements of trains on a
railway .
One of the aims of the BBR is to provide
working examples of all available heritage signalling equipment used on the
Western Australian Government Railways. To this end, the Bennett Brook Railway
has the largest collection of ex W.A.G.R. signals and signal Cabins in Western
Australia.
The BBR has examples of Lower Quadrant, Upper
Quadrant and Colour Light Signals, Four Signal Cabins, Two forms of Safeworking
in use and Heritage level Crossing equipment which can be found within these
pages.
