Track is often the most
forgotten part of any heritage and tourist railway operation.
It is literally the foundation
of the railway and arguably the most important component of the railway.
Bennett Brook Railway has 6km
of main line trackage and a further 1km of sidings and yard trackage. This is made
up of a combination of 1.2km of Branch Line (Mussel Pool to Whiteman Village
Junction) and a
5km circular route (Loop), with sidings at 3 stations and depot trackage at Mussel
Pool.
